This is a legacy celebration of our rich Classical Musical Heritage, Carnatic Music. Initiated by the Musical Trinity, of Shri Thyagaraja Swamy, Shri Syama Shastri, Shri Muttuswami Dikshitar, this classical music genre has dominated our musical live since centuries.

This iconic music festival is observed every year on the anniversary of Shri Thyagaraja attaining jeeva samadhi, 1847. The festival is called Thyagaraja Aradhana (Ceremony of Adoration), and was initiated in the early 1900’s at  the samadhi of Shri Thyagaraja, situated in Thiruvaiyaru village, Thanjavur

Over the decades, followers of Carnatic music, have celebrated Thyagaraja Aradhana in various places in India and now in many places across the world. Our 1^st Aradhana is one such Heritage Celebration in the North of UK and sets into motion an annual celebration for all of us.
